Common questions
Does DayPlay ring when my iPhone is on silent?
Yes. On iOS 26 and later DayPlay uses Apple's AlarmKit, the same framework the built in Clock app uses, so the alarm rings through Silent mode, Focus and Do Not Disturb. On iOS 25 and earlier DayPlay falls back to a burst of time sensitive notifications, which does not break Silent mode, and the app tells you so on screen.
What is mission lock?
Mission lock means the alarm does not stop when you press stop. Pressing stop opens DayPlay on the first step of your routine and the alarm keeps ringing inside the app until that step is finished. There is no dismiss button while it is locked.
Can I get around mission lock by force quitting the app?
Not for long. When the mission is locked and the app is sent to the background, DayPlay schedules a one shot system alarm about 90 seconds later, so force quitting delays the alarm instead of ending it.
How many times can I snooze?
You choose, from zero to three, per routine. Snoozes are counted. When they run out the snooze button is not shown at all.
My alarm did not ring
Check iOS Settings, DayPlay, and make sure Alarms are allowed. If you are on iOS 25 or earlier there is no system alarm permission and DayPlay uses notifications instead, so Focus modes, Low Power Mode and Scheduled Summary can hold it back.
I paid but Pro is not on
Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchase. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the purchase. If it still does not appear, email info@thecodevolt.com with the date of purchase.
How do I cancel my subscription?
iOS Settings, your name, Subscriptions, DayPlay. Or tap Manage subscription in the app's Settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal.
How do I move my routines to a new phone?
Settings, Export routines as JSON on the old phone, then Settings, Import on the new one and paste it. Real alarms are not switched on automatically by an import, so nobody wakes you at 7am by accident.
Does DayPlay treat ADHD?
No. It is a focus and routine tool designed to be friendly to ADHD brains. It is not a medical treatment or a diagnostic tool.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. Everything DayPlay stores on your device lives in its own container, so removing the app removes all of it. To stop the anonymous usage counters without deleting the app, turn them off in Settings, Privacy.
